I’m Matt Ricke, a specialist in relational resilience and spiritual companionship who is passionate about the sacred work of threshold tending.

Dr. Matt Ricke is the founder of Owlsong LLC, a practice focused on relational resilience, conflict transformation, and organizational wellbeing.
He works with individuals, teams, and organizations navigating conflict, transition, and complexity—supporting the development of clarity, emotional awareness, and intentional action in moments of relational strain. His work integrates organizational ombuds practice, coaching, facilitation, and conflict resilience scholarship, including the work of Robert Bordone and Joel Salinas, alongside insights from positive psychology and human-centered design.
Matt brings over two decades of experience in higher education leadership, conflict resolution, and organizational ethics, including service as a university ombuds and extensive work in mediation, coaching, and leadership development. He holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education and Student Affairs Leadership and is a Certified Organizational Ombuds, Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), and Board-Certified Coach specializing in leadership and executive coaching with a strong focus on resilience.
Across all contexts, his focus is consistent: helping people and systems build the capacity to engage conflict not as something to avoid, but as a meaningful and navigable part of human and organizational life.
Recently, Matt added spiritual companionship to his portfolio as a reflective, meaning-centered practice for individuals moving through periods of transition, uncertainty, grief, or identity shift. This work provides space for deep listening, values exploration, and sense-making at life’s thresholds—supporting people in discerning what matters most as they navigate change. Rather than offering answers or doctrine, spiritual companionship centers presence, inquiry, and the cultivation of meaning in complex or liminal experiences.
